Returning to my alma mater is not a difficult decision - especially when I had the opportunity to connect with students! No lie, it makes me feel young(er). 🙋‍♀️ The Fisher Sales Institute + Taylor Institute of Marketing at The University of Akron recently welcomed me as a guest speaker to educate their female students on professional dressing and style!

But trust me, this was not a commercial of me telling them What Not To Wear. It was a 2 hour deep dive into what drives and motivates their style, and how to express that in an authentic, relatable way with their peers. We also discussed sustainable sourcing, beauty + makeup, and one of my favorite books, The Creative Act: A Way of Being, by Rick Rubin.

Sure, I could have been a stick in the mud and told them "wear this, not that" - but is that getting to the heart of it? No. It's so much more fun to create your style from a source of inspiration. And I have to say, these ladies Got It!
