In many ways it goes against our nature to put others before ourselves, yet that is exactly what we are called to do.
Those of us who are strong in our faith are called to accept those brothers and sisters who are weak.
We are called to speak words and make decisions that benefit our neighbors, working for their good.
Why? Because that is what Jesus has done for us!

We’re continuing our celebration of Sunday Serve Day by sharing what happened at each of the serve sites a few weekends ago!
This team was tasked with cleaning up some messes in and along our church property.
They picked up trash (which the wind had blown against our fence line), cleaned glass doors, and more!
While we don’t own our building, we believe it’s important to take care of it to better serve our people, the church we rent from, and our community.
Thank you to the volunteers who helped with this site!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV)
This is such an important reminder of where our rest—true rest—comes from!
It doesn’t ultimately come from vacations, long weekends, or even retirement (though those things serve their purpose and can be such a blessing to us).
Nor does it come from binge-watching, doom-scrolling, or other forms of escape (which often make us feel worse afterward).
The rest that we crave, the kind that we need most, is rest for our souls.
It’s the kind that lets us know everything will be alright even if it doesn’t feel alright.
It’s the kind that comes when we stop striving to prove we’re good enough and instead believe that Christ is good enough for us.
It’s the kind that comes from believing, not working, and is centered on a person, not just an escape from our life.
Jesus is inviting you to find your rest in him.

We’re continuing our celebration of Sunday Serve Day by sharing what happened at each of the serve sites a few weekends ago!
This team was tasked with clearing out fallen trees, limbs, and other debris from a neighbor’s yard so they could finally get it mowed.
Volunteers went in with a chainsaw, rake, and lots of muscle to help a dad who had fallen into bad health and his daughter who is taking care of him.
Thank you to the volunteers who helped with this site!
