Grab your peanuts, baseball cap, and favorite tropical shirt and join the Akron Press Club for a special evening at the ballpark on Thursday, June 18!

We'll kick off the night with a behind-the-scenes tour of 7 17 Credit Union Park before cheering on the Akron RubberDucks as they take on the Altoona Curve. Then relax on the Tiki Terrace with reserved seating near the Tiki Bar and enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet throughout the game.

As an added bonus, attendees can enter a raffle for a chance to win a 20-person suite at a future RubberDucks game!

The Akron Press Club is proud to host two special spring luncheon programs featuring the candidates for Ohio Auditor. Each candidate will share their vision for Ohio, discuss key priorities, and speak directly with attendees in a thoughtful, nonpartisan setting.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose will discuss his campaign for Ohio Auditor. An Akron-area native and U.S. Army Green Beret veteran, LaRose has served as Ohio Secretary of State since 2019 and previously represented Ohio’s 27th Senate District.

Annette Blackwell, mayor of Maple Heights, will share her priorities and goals for the state. Blackwell made history as the city’s first female and Black mayor and brings decades of experience in public service and business leadership.
