We at Forbidden Island are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend and Tiki artist extraordinaire, Daniel "Tiki Diablo" Gallardo.

Danny’s work and presence at Forbidden Island dates back to our very beginning. He carved our signature tiki, Kapu, which stands proudly in our indoor fountain; designed and sculpted our signature tiki mug and volcano bowl as well as our 10th, 11th, and 12th anniversary mugs.

Danny was always a pleasure to work with, and his immense talent never failed to amaze and inspire us. This is a significant loss for the Tiki community at large. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Danny! Your memory and contribution to our history will never be forgotten!

Happy 4th of July!! Join us before and after the fire-works and celebrate this Independence Day with a true American classic, The Philadelphia Fish House Punch.

Featuring cognac, brandy, peach, lemon, lime, and -all the way from Ipswich, Massachusetts- Privateer Queen's Share rum,
It's origins can be traced all the way back to a Philadelphia fishing club in 1732. By the time of the Revolution the punch had become so popular that after a major battle victory, George Washington made 13 toasts - a cocktail had for each colony. This legend is seemingly confirmed by our founder's journal as the record shows he did not or could not write an entry 3 days after!

Please, no starting a revolution in the bar. George Washington might have handled it but no one will be served 13 of these bad boys!

Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
