The resilient power of microgrids was shown in the aftermath of the 7.2 earthquake that hit Haiti last week. According to a news story in Microgrid Knowledge, the 100-kW community microgrid in Les Anglais, installed by EarthSpark International, was able to continue operating, providing needed power to a community in crisis.
