Got a quick one for the HVAC techs out there.

Working on an R-410A system with a piston metering device.

System seems to be running, pressures look decent, subcooling is in range… but that negative superheat is throwing me off.

I’ve already verified my probes on another system and they’re reading fine. This is a piston setup, so I know I should be charging by superheat.

Anyone run into this before? Could this be a measurement location issue, slight overfeeding, or something else I’m overlooking?

Appreciate any input.

Tipping was originally meant to reward great service, but lately it feels like it's becoming an expectation everywhere. Some people say servers depend on tips to make a living. Others believe customers shouldn't be responsible for covering employee wages.

If a restaurant automatically expects 20%, is it still a tip... or just another fee? 💰
