It was a privilege to deepen our collaboration with . Last month, we assisted their mission by providing essential furnishings for a family in the Sullivan County community.

One of my very generous clients (they all are) donated and paid to transport beds and bedding, a kitchen table and kitchen supplies, decor, dressers, rugs, paper goods, laundry detergent, and so much more.

We love this work so much. It was fun and rewarding, we made new friends, made some people happy, had a great road trip, and of course ended up with a client turned friend for life.

If you would have told me 10 plus years ago that I would love this business, the clients and the work (most of the time 🙃), I dont think I would have believed it.

Are you in big box stores looking for storage bins priced at $10 to $50 each so you can store your new holiday stuff or dearly departed grandmother's belongings in storage units, renting for $ 100 to $400 a month? Cause thats what has replaced the holiday aisles at W, HD, T, & L ... a $50 billion industry and growing.

Or did you want to spend some productive, thoughtful time with team Call Sheilah! and purge some of that to free up space in your body, mind, spirit and checkbook?

Sure there is a fee for our service but you wont be paying it monthly for years to come. As a matter of fact, if you read our Google reviews, you will see that the opposite is true.

Do yourself a favor and Call Sheilah! We provide a 30 min free consult, work within your parameters, make lots of suggestions and relieve you of things that are cluttering your space, your head, and your heart.

Last week, movers were scheduled for a client whose home was adjacent to Thacher Park.

When the client contracted with this outfit in October for a December move, there was no discussion about the length of the driveway and what the conditions could be if it snowed. There also was no discussion about the width of the driveway, how low the trees were, the wires on the NGrid polls and such.

So, when the mover showed up, they couldn't get the huge box truck up the hill, and they left.

Yup, they did. Lesson learned. Always describe the driveway in detail, especially if the mover is not doing a walk thru prior, altho we highly recommend that regardless of how simple or small the size of the move seems.

Upon the abandonment by the move crew, project management/solutionist skills took over. We swung into action, called our favorite Junk Hauler, had him come and we came up with a plan to get the job done.

We plowed the packed snow down to the gravel;
We applied magnesium chloride to melt things;
Brought a covered trailer, a small uhaul and the Call Sheilah! van the next day, and loaded the stuff into all three vehicles.

We had the client moved and unpacked 36 hours after the moving truck pulled away.

Thankfully the client's attitude was "don't sweat the small stuff." And "It's all small stuff."

But for sure, always

One of my clients is rehoming two beautiful cats. Please spread the word and of course, consider them yourself if you are a cat person in need of cats like these:

Oliver - the one in the sink, is a five year old neutered male. Sweet and shy, but warms up over time. Doesn't like loud noises.

Abby - is a 14 year old spayed, sweet girl. She walks like a racoon, is friendly, good with kids, good with dogs and has a silent meow.

Ideally, they go together, but they are not really that attached to each other. They also live in Voorheesville and spend a lot of time outside. Indoors would be an adjustment, but they have done it. Would need a bit of litter box reminder, as right now, the great out doors is their toilet.

Please get in touch and tell me you want them both!
