It's been a long time since I hosted an event in The Berkshires where I reside. This one will be special. As we also celebrate 13 years of The Funk Box Dance Studio. Which its also Massachusetts' first Breaking studio. We are going to have some very legendary people in the building from OGs and innovators to very important people in the scene. Connecting both Boston and NYC. Respect is earned is going to be curated with a lot of thought in details. From kids battles to adult battles. Performances and community. Save the date! 6 months after heart procedure, this part of my journey has been one of the hardest in my career. Haven't competed or danced in a long time. My body feels it. This is 35, full time father, full time business owner, full time professor and full time mentor to many. Have been going to many events in the past year just to show support and never touched the dance floor. Went to this event to just see if I can feel free to move in the cyphers. Got talked into battling. Knowing my body wasn't ready I knew I needed to let out so many emotions from this past year. After all the battles, taking the win while having my sons and students behind me, knowing everything I have been going thru this past year really broke me down. If you were there you witness my emotions in real time. Thank you bboyprovidence for making me battle. Thank you to everyone who was there to support me and had my back throughout the night. There are many to tag but you know who you are. I truly appreciate you all 🙏
