While we were traveling with a survivor to safety, she said, “I was reading in the Bible recently about how Moses’ mom put him in a basket in the river to save his life, and it kept him safe. I told God that I needed a ‘basket’ to do the same for me essentially, and your team showed up and did just that as we’re traveling to a safe home program!” 🕊️

Due to the severity of the situation, we can’t say much about this survivor we’re helping. However, her life is in great danger and she needs out….soon!

Most times when we meet a survivor to take to a longterm safe home program, she only has the clothes on her back, and nothing more. Survivors often need a comfortable and appropriate outfit to wear that day and for the next couple days until new clothes can be attained.

Please pray as a young teen survivor travels to her longterm safe home program. She is leaving a dangerous life, where she was taken advantage of and exploited. She will now get to be a kid, while receiving tons of therapy and trauma informed care.

Please pray for her to have peace in the months ahead, to feel loved with no strings attached, and to know her worth.

We’re grateful for all of the girls we get to mentor and advocate for in their healing journey. And we admire the brave survivors that are mothers themselves, that are choosing to heal and build a better life for their children.

This sweet survivor gave us this, and it was so heartfelt and sincere. She spent hours placing every single rhinestone on that coaster. It’s moments like these, getting this, that make all of the hard days worth it!

May is Foster Care Awareness Month 💙

This month, we honor the children and teens in foster care, the families who open their homes, and the advocates working to protect vulnerable youth. But we also have to talk about a heartbreaking reality many people don’t realize:

Children in foster care are at a significantly higher risk of becoming victims of human trafficking.

📊 Studies show:
• About 60% of child s*x trafficking victims recovered in FBI operations had histories in foster care or group homes.
• An estimated 50–70% of commercially s*xually exploited children have had involvement with the child welfare system.

Why are foster youth at greater risk?
Because many have experienced:
▪️ Frequent placement changes
▪️ Histories of abuse or neglect
▪️ Lack of stable adult support
▪️ Homelessness after aging out
▪️ Running away from placements
▪️ Emotional vulnerability and unmet basic needs

These children are not statistics. They are sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and precious lives deserving of safety, stability, and love.

A courageous trafficking survivor needs help reaching her long-term residential safe home. Will you help make that possible?

We’re celebrating a powerful milestone this week…one of our survivors has earned her driver’s license! 🎉🎉🎉

She’s a devoted mother currently in a “Mommy and Me” safe home program, where she continues her healing journey. With each step forward, she’s getting closer to graduation, and closer to the life she’s building for herself and her baby.

She now has a job, her driver’s license, and is saving for a car. Each achievement is bringing her closer to independence and a bright, stable future.

Let’s celebrate her strength, determination, and the beautiful life she’s creating. 🕊️
