The Albany Civil Rights Institute is a museum and research center in Albany, Georgia, that tells the story of the civil rights movement in southwest Georgia.

During Black History Month, VA honors the achievements and patriotism of American Veterans, like those who served in the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion in WWII. The unit arrived in England in Feb 1945 to clear a huge mail backlog, sorting it in half the expected time.
