Natural gas is an important part of Algeria's economy and we're happy to contribute! Since 2017 and as part of a consortium, we have been producing natural gas at Reggane Nord, deep in the Sahara Desert. Reggane Nord is expected to produce until at least 2041, and we are exploring new opportunities in the country.

Denmark 🇩🇰 is on a very good path towards decarbonisation. The country has social and political support for technologies such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), which is an important piece of the puzzle on Europe's path towards net zero 💡

Denmark is also home to one of the most advanced CCS projects in the European Union: Greensand, with the potential to safely and permanently store up to 8 million tonnes of CO2 annually by 2030. Wintershall Dea is one of the leading partners in the Greensand Consortium.

With Wintershall Dea as operator, a significant oil discovery was made here in April 2023, estimated to contain 200 to 300 million barrels of oil equivalent in place! This is an important contribution to Mexico's energy security. 🇲🇽
