A lot of wildlife content as of late, but I just keep getting great photos out on my hikes. I spotted a particularly greedy grackle, a wood thrush, and a female red-winged blackbird resting in some reeds.

Five Rivers is quickly becoming one of my favorite places here in Albany, NY. Each time I visit, I encounter so many different creatures. Early on, I found a small turtle crossing the trail to one of the many ponds on the property. A pretty nasty storm started to roll in but I decided to run to another pond in search of a heron only to find this massive dinosaur resting on a log!

The Albany Tulip Festival is this weekend so I took a trip to Washington to get some photos of the beautiful flowers on display before the event. The photos don't do it justice, the colors and varieties on display were incredible. I caught a photo of a little bee who seemed to think so as well!

Life in the Capital Region has really started booming! Just a few weeks ago I barely saw anything more than snow, but now I can't go out for a walk without seeing a myriad of animals! Yesterday I managed to get a quick snap of a red tailed hawk and a great blue heron as they flew overhead. Hopefully I can get closer next time!

Despite the recent cold weather, it looks like Albany is finally catching up to Spring! It's been tough seeing so many folks from WV enjoying nature while everything kept sleeping up north. Here are a few critters I've ran into on my hikes so far!

Turns out moving isn't cheap! I'll be selling prints at on Pleasant Street in Morgantown for a few weeks to earn extra funds. Got a new lens just in time to test it on the full moon last night! I spent some time creating a cool collage using some of my images to show it off, but Photoshop crashed and I lost it. 😭

My first attempt at any kind of night sky photography and I happened to catch a little bit if the aurora!
