Yesterday evening, the “Unveiling of History” Ceremony was held at the E.E. Waddell Community Center. It was an amazing event that honored a selection of the many men and women of the Kingville Community and their accomplishments both locally and afar.

Thanks to the Friends of the E.E. Waddell Community Center along with their partners, the Kingville Alumni Association and the Stanly County Historical Society, for supporting such a wonderful program. Special thanks to Dexter Townsend and Brenda Stanback for putting the event together.

Today’s pictures show the set of Sanborn Fire Insurance maps of Norwood from June 1925. {Click on the pictures for the best view} A revision of these maps was done in 1936. Please add comments or email me directly at [email protected] if you are aware of any other old city maps of Norwood.
