Desert Dog Designs

My latest mask, The Green Man is ready for his debut at Calan Mai! 🌿🌱.
I only create masks for very special events and the are all one of a kind. I hand make each one using foam clay which I mold, carve, and hand paint. I strive for an otherworldly fae or forest spirit look to the majority of them.

This latest creation is inspired by the Green Man, a Pagan and Christian folklore figure who in more modern times is said to represent the cycle of nature, Spring and renewal. There is debate on when or where the Green Man originated from, but he is often depicted as having a face surrounded by growing green foliage and branches all around. A figure who blends into the woods themselves.
