A little rant for today. HOAs. The only benefit I can see for them is that they sorta stabilize a particular neighborhood's property values, but think about it. You are paying a monthly non-refundable fee every month for as long as you own the property to give your neighbors the right to tell you what you can and cannot do with your own property. If I'm missing something here, someone please enlighten me, because there is no fu***ng way in hell ANYONE is going to tell me what I can and can't do with my own house.

...and now for Nathan's controversial viewpoint of the day!

I've been seeing a lot of posts of Native Americans standing in front of various American monuments, like Mount Rushmore and taking a selfie of themselves flipping off the monument. Let me just say something about that.
There's nothing more hilarious than someone flipping off a symbol of the U.S. after driving their American invented car there while wearing western civilzation clothing and glasses to help them see the monument they're flipping off that were designed and made by an American company, after more than likely stopping at several American food establishments along the way to eat. The confrontations Europeans and Native Americans had to establish the current territories happened well over a century ago. No native American in this era has ever been legally oppressed by a person of European decent. Human kind has been fighting over territory throughout human exsistance, INCLUDING Native American tribes conquering other Native American tribes, and frankly the vast majority of the times it's happened, the losing side was either forced to assimilate into the winning sides society in the BEST case scenarios, or in a huge number of cases, they were simply massacred. Being handed territory to maintain your own culture and society by the winning side doesn't happen very often in the history or human warfare. I have no doubt that it must've sucked for your ancestors. That was a different era and the current ideology of human rights was not what it is today, but in today's America you live in the most liberated society on earth and have ALL the same opportunities as ANY of your white counterparts, and even some benefits that WE DON'T. There is NO special funding for schooling for us based on our cultural background, nor do employers receive ANY diversity incentives for hiring white people. If "white privilage" is a thing, I sure as f**k haven't seen any in the 55 years I've been alive and I'm as white as they come. Quit fu***ng blaming all your troubles on the result of a conflict that happened over a century ago and make the best of the opportunities you have! NO ONE is OPPRESSING you!
