The Farm Bill is still being negotiated by the Senate Agriculture Committee and could be released at any time. As a member of that committee, Senator Ben Ray Luján has a powerful voice in shaping what goes into the final bill—but he needs to hear from New Mexicans now.
Call 202-224-6621 today and tell Senator Luján that you oppose any Farm Bill language that would roll back hard-fought protections for animals, people, and communities engaged in farming and ranching. Your voice can help ensure New Mexico's values are represented in these critical discussions.

Albuquerque’s animals urgently need your help!
The City of Albuquerque is finalizing their Fiscal Year 2027 budget, and it includes massive cuts in funding for the Animal Welfare Department. These budget cuts will eliminate 14 critical animal protection and law enforcement positions, and reduce spay/neuter and vaccination services for community cats by 50%. The result will set the City back years in its work to improve animal welfare, serve communities, and protect public health and safety.
Before the next City Council meeting, Mayor Tim Keller and City Councilors need to hear from you! Respectfully urge them to fully restore the budget for the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department:
