Our Student Ambassadors are back from Japan! A highlight for our students was to visit the Hiroshima Museum and Peace Memorial where they hung 1000 cranes on behalf of NACA and the tribal communities they represent. There is a special story associated with this, please ask one of our Student Ambassadors for further explanation. A shout out to Mrs. Nagurski and her gifted students who folded most of the cranes throughout this past the school year to send with our Student Ambassadors to Japan! The young leaders have had an amazing experience and we are so proud of them and how they represented their school, Tribe and Family. Arigatō!

🇯🇵 NACA Student Ambassadors in Japan 🇯🇵

Our NACA Student Ambassadors continue an incredible educational journey through Japan!

Over the past year, these students have participated in a seminar exploring the history of Native American veterans, with a special focus on the vital role that language, culture, and Indigenous identity played during World War II.
Next week, this meaningful experience will conclude with a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, where students will reflect on the importance of peace, resilience, and global understanding.

Today also included some fun and laughter as students attended a traditional sumo wrestling match—and Ashton, Takeo, Tyler, and Mr. Martza even stepped into the ring to give it a try!

Most importantly, we want to assure our NACA families and community that our students and staff are safe, doing well, and enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime learning experience. We are grateful for the opportunities they have to represent our school while deepening their understanding of history, culture, and international connections.
