Today, the skies over St. Paul Downtown Airport (STP) are buzzing with activity as approximately 130 "Doves"—Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft—bring Special Olympics athletes from across the country to Minnesota for the USA Games.
This is more than just a flight; it’s a mission of inclusion. With total roundtrip miles estimated at nearly 300,000 nm, this operation showcases the unmatched coordination of pilots, air traffic controllers, and airport authorities working in perfect harmony.

Shaping the future of European rotorcraft propulsion. 🚁🇪🇺
The European Commission has officially backed the SHARP (Sovereign High-performance Architecture for Rotorcraft Propulsion) project with €25 million in funding via the European Defence Fund.
This collaboration between Safran Helicopter Engines, MTU Aero Engines, and Avio Aero is set to develop the foundational technologies for the European Next Generation Helicopter Engine (ENGHE). By uniting 25 partners across 12 countries, the project aims to modernize the aging European military helicopter fleet, preparing the continent for next-gen rotorcraft expected to enter service in 2040.
