It’s time for the end of summer photo extravaganza! This was the summer of change—and of travel. In late June we traveled to London and the English countryside (Frome, to be exact) to see and walk down the aisle. We visited Brompton Cemetery for book research. Then, via Eurostar to Paris for three days to see Notre Dame and the Worth exhibit (book research) and then onto Avignon and finally, Nice.
July was also about endings—a close to my 25-year chapter with GovExec where I met some of the greatest friends of my life who have celebrated and cried with me. (I miss them already!) In a blink I embarked on a new chapter as CRO of Wellesley Global.
There was an important milestone reached—5 years since my breast cancer diagnosis and a clear MRI scan. As my doctor said to me, “I hope to never see you again!” I concur!
There was also a magnificent birthday celebration complete with a red velvet cake from the talented Lauren Roberts.
Finally, through it all, I kept plugging away on book four. Many of you have reached out asking if I’m working on something new. Indeed, I am! My agent has the first half and I’ve got a 300-page draft. I hate, hate writing first drafts but love refining the next six drafts!
Now we head into witchy season…my favorite!

This Saturday, October 12th, I’ll be at the Fall for the Book Festival in Fairfax, Virginia beginning at 3:30 pm for a talk with on Devilish Obsessions. There are two reasons I’m excited for this talk—first George Mason University is very special to me. I got my M.A. in Writing there and I’m so thrilled to return to where it all began for me! Second, I get to talk about the devil in literature with Ananda Lima! This is one of my favorite, favorite topics and we only have an hour! We’ll also be signing books immediately after. Our moderator is who has her own debut novel, The Belles, coming out next fall. The full schedule for Fall for the Book is now live and I’ve placed it in the link in bio.
