Safe Places

Safe Places, a program of Christian Relief Services, Inc. which is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, is committed to providing Fairfax County families who are homeless due to domestic violence with safe, long-term transitional housing in order to empower them to break the cycle of abuse. During their time in the program, we assist clients by providing case management and social services in addition to providing safe and affordable housing. We work with clients to ensure that they are able to live independently following their successful completion in the program.
As you can imagine, due to the population that we serve, holidays are extremely difficult as most families are working to make ends meet. The holiday season can be a particularly hard time for the mothers in our program as they want to be able to provide their children with a memorable holiday. At the same time, they worry about spending their entire budget. This year, we are asking our neighbors to consider the families in Safe Places.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude by this generous donation from thank you so much for the many awesome books! Our staff was excited to see some familiar books that we grew up with and we look forward to experiencing them through the eyes of Safe Places’ children for the first time!
