This month is national parks and recreation month! This month we are recognizing all the importance of our national parks and the role they play in helping the health and quality of our life.

Freedom is more than a moment in history—it’s the power to shape your own future. Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the true end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that all enslaved people were finally freed. That day became a powerful symbol of liberation, now remembered as Emancipation Day, or more widely, Juneteenth.
