Creative Connections – A Social Confidence Group for Teens

Does your teen struggle with starting conversations, feeling awkward in social situations, or managing anxiety at school or social events?

Creative Connections is a small, supportive group designed to help teens build confidence and practice social skills in a low-pressure, judgment-free space.

Teens will:
• Practice real-life social situations
• Learn how to start and maintain conversations
• Build confidence and reduce social anxiety
• Connect with peers in a supportive environment

Small group size (5–8 teens)
Participation is always optional — teens choose what they’re comfortable sharing.

We have been doing Kiva.org for almost 10 years now, and a little investment can go a long way. Kiva is an organization that lets you loan money to people in need at no or very low interest, and when they pay you back, you can re-loan that money again.

In 10 years, we have helped 526 people in 54 different countries with micro-loans of $25-250 for a total impact of $52,495! That is truly amazing what a little can do.

This year, my kids and I have read through 100s of profiles asking God, "Who do you want us to help?"

A key to overcoming anxiety and depression is to engage in something inspiring, difficult, and courageous. We live in a tension of danger and courage versus safety and security. When to hold tight and when to go all in. Whether it’s a job, a relationship, an opportunity eventually you have to go in, in the midst of pain.
