#TeamOliverTypeO This past week has turned our world upside down. What started as what we thought was a simple stomach bug quickly became something much more serious. Oliver developed jaundice and liver damage, and after so many tests and consultations, we learned that he will need a liver transplant. We are currently at UIC Comer Children’s, and Oliver is in the hands of an incredible medical team. They have tested him for everything imaginable, and while we still don’t have all the answers as to why this happened, we do know that he is a fighter. As parents, this is the hardest thing we have ever faced. We are scared, overwhelmed, and trying to process a reality we never imagined for our little boy. But we are also holding onto hope. If you are the praying type, we are asking for prayers for our sweet Oliver — for healing, for strength, and for a donor to come forward at the right time. Please also keep our girls in your prayers as they try to understand why their baby brother is in the hospital, and for our family as we navigate the days ahead. We are so grateful for every message, every prayer, and every bit of love being sent our way. We feel it.
