On this one-year anniversary of the January 7 Eaton Fire, we honor the lives, places, and memories impacted, and stand with the Altadena community as healing and recovery continue. Altadena is a resilient community.

LA County Parks, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Parks Foundation, remains committed to restoring beloved parks, trails, natural areas, and tree canopy, while supporting the health of local ecosystems. Together, we are raising funds and working alongside the community to restore and revitalize Altadena’s public parks and natural spaces.

As part of this effort, LA County Parks is listening to the community and co-creating a reflection garden at Charles Farnsworth Park—a space rooted in remembrance, healing, and hope for the future.

Together, we honor what was lost and remain committed to Altadena’s recovery and renewal. 🤍

🌧Rain is expected across Los Angeles County through Sunday, November 16, with the potential for debris flows in recent burn scar areas. Flash floods can develop quickly, sometimes in just a few minutes and without visible signs of rain.

Be aware of flood hazards no matter where you live, but especially if you live in low lying areas, near water, or near a recently burned hillside.

⚠️ Trail Closure Reminder ⚠️
All trails in the Eaton Canyon Natural Area, the Altadena Crest Trail, and adjacent federal lands damaged by the January 2025 Eaton Fire remain closed until further notice. These closures are in place to protect public safety and to support the recovery of burned wildlands. With rain expected, hazards like flooding, debris flow, and unstable ground are heightened. 🌧️

Please respect all closure signs and stay safe.
