Most of the time, if Trauma is present it is nearly impossible to express or even understand the feelings behind the behavior. Helping someone feel heard starts to help them understand the feeling and in turn reduce the behaviors.

EMDR was actually developed through helping people with PTSD. EMDR is a very effective, evidence based therapy model for treatment of most mental health issues. Please let me know if you would like to learn more about my agency or EMDR.
