Then ask for FEMA assistance, which is a grant (doesn't have to be paid back). If you are declined FEMA assistance, contact the Small Business Administration and ask for their assistance, which is a loan. The SBA will do a credit check because the loan has to be paid back. If you do not qualify for an SBA loan, you can go back to FEMA and ask again. If you bypass FEMA, SBA will send you back to them.
