I don't see many of these heads any more, but it is a good example of the value of an Automatic Boring/Facing head. Quench and piston to head clearance mods are much cleaner.

Today, the 2017+ Honda CRF450R. This engine is much improved and the HP is proof. Cyl head changes include
Raised Intake port
Exh port changes
Individual rockers (4) allow more aggressive cam profiles
38mm Ti intake valves with 5mm stem and shorter OAL
Several customers running modified new Gen CRF's report almost 70 WHP. This is freshened stock 2018 head. Enjoy the pics.
