This song was written in 2018 following our move back to GA from San Francisco. We were blessed to serve for a season with some special brothers and sisters at in downtown San Francisco…but ultimately were called back to GA to focus full time on the ministry.

A dear friend, Danny Dukes had just lost his precious wife Vicki in a tragic car accident…and I was feeling pretty disoriented and tossed about. Sometimes ideas come in the mundane…and while doing laundry the phrase “you cannot disown what you bought with your blood” came to me. I sat with it for the next few months and crafted the verses which all contain aspects of that season and our ultimate hope and promise of home no matter what we go through.

N E W A L B U M / “𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲”

It’s been a while since I’ve released music…but the journey I’ve been on over the past 7 years finally made its way into melody and song. We all live in a world where comparison is the norm. Whether in the world of art, sports, or business it can be easy to look over at those in other lanes around us and forget the value of our own unique story and voice. There’s only 7 songs on this project…but each one came from a real place for me…an honest place and I’m satisfied with where it all landed. From the valley to the top of the mountain I’ve known God’s presence in it all in a way that I hadn’t before. As you listen…know that God sees you and will never leave you. He’s fighting for your heart and attention. He is present ALWAYS

My biggest thank you goes to my wife Carrie…your patience with God’s work in me has been great…and your love and pursuit of God has changed my life. To Chandler, Carter, Connor, and Collin…I am so proud of the men you are becoming and the hearts God gave each of you. You are forever loved and not alone…no matter what.
