Fuel for Your Faith: He’ll lift Up a Standard.

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)

My kids youth pastor mentioned this Sunday morning during the announcements at church and it got me thinking. There are seasons when it feels like hell has opened the gates to have free rein on you. The pressure to perform is still there and the attacks feel like they’re increasing. It feels like the enemy is gaining ground. But this verse doesn’t stop at the flood. It says the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard. That means the attack will come, but God is prepared and preparing you for the fight.

A standard was a banner lifted in battle so the army knew where to stand. It was a way to remind them who they belonged to and who was leading the fight. When confusion was in the midst and tried to scatter them, that banner pulled them back together. When God raises a standard, He’s drawing a line and reminding the enemy who’s really in charge.

Some of y’all have felt the flood lately. The enemy came in fast and tried to rattle your peace, your home, and your calling. But don’t confuse the noise with authority. The Spirit of God is still moving, still leading you, and still establishing God’s rule over your life. Don’t be afraid of the fight because you don’thave to fight it anyway.

Faith Declaration:
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him in my life. I will not bow to fear or panic under pressure. God is my banner, my defender, and my victory. The flood will not overtake me because the Lord is fighting for me.
