Meet Carl and Carlos! They were brought into us a couple months ago because their mom had to move out of town. You won’t find two sweeter boys! Both like to be held, very cuddly, easy going and Carl gives hugs. Their adoption fee is 50.00 each. We would love for them to go together but we understand that isn’t always an option. We are not accepting any new cats but our adoption room is full! Please come by during business hours (or by appointment) and fall in love with your new best friend❣️😻😻

Thanks to the Alturas Elks Lodge and another VERY generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, we have been able to bring back a limited number of our super discounted Spay/Neuter Certificates! While the money lasts, Spay/Neuter Certificates are on sale at the Thrift Store for:

$100 for Dogs
$50 for Pet Cats
$30 for Feral Cats

These certificates have an expiration date and are not refundable, so BUY THEM TO USE THEM!

The Thrift Store is closed today, July 4th, as we are every year. The store will open again on Tuesday, July 7th at 10 AM.

So there is a rumor going around we are closed. The dog program is closed until September as the one tried and true rescue we work with is closed for remodeling until then. I’m losing my medical cat person in August so we will not be taking cats in unless they are 100% healthy. We can no longer take in cats with health issues as there will be no one to do treatments and vet visits The store remains open and we still offer lose cost spay/neuter and shot vaccine certificates. I would like to add, we can help you with formula, bottles and information if you find kittens and need help. We just can’t take them.
