What’s the difference between the edge in picture 1 vs picture 2? There is a close up of 1. Both are quartz.

1 is quartz with a curved mitered edge
2 is a laminated curved edge

So what? 2 is a standard stacked edge everyone does daily. Cut a curve and glue it to another piece to build up the edge thickness.

1 is curved and mitered. Not easy, but just mill down the thickness, heat it up and bend it on a jig. But, one is attached to the top so it has a miter too. Ever attempted to bend your kitchen quartz countertops? Of course not, bending 1/4” hot quartz and making two miters meet up and stay together, not so easy.
