DaVinci Maker Labs

Shout out to Chevron volunteers for helping us refurbish 50 laptops. All 50 of these laptops were given to Communities In Schools of Southeast Harris and Brazoria County schools to be distributed to students in need at Alvin High School and RISE Academy - Alvin ISD.

A special thank you to volunteers from Chevron for coming out and supporting our Free Computers for Youth Program. Through this combined effort we were able to process 3 dozen desktop computers, plus we now have a surplus of supplies cleaned and ready for further processing.

Many local area students will benefit from this effort and our hearts are filled with gratitude to be able to serve our community. Thank you again to all the Chevron and DaVinci volunteers that helped make this happen.

Our first Intro to Graphic Design class, led by the talented Jessica Escobedo, was a huge success! We welcomed students from all over the Gulf Coast, proving that educational programs like this are not only wanted but truly necessary.

We can’t wait to see the amazing projects these students create as the course continues!

This program is completely free thanks to a generous grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission, making high-quality arts education accessible to our community.
