A Better Inspection, LLC
We serve Amarillo, the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma, and New Mexico with their home inspection needs.
One of the biggest contributors to mold growth in a home isn’t a plumbing leak—it’s what happens before the home is ever finished.
Construction materials are often stored outdoors, exposed to rain, humidity, and ground moisture. Then those materials get enclosed behind drywall before they’ve had a chance to fully dry out. Add a little trapped moisture and the right conditions, and mold can begin growing where no one can see it.
So why doesn’t the builder do anything about it?
Sometimes it’s schedule pressure. Sometimes it’s cost. And sometimes no one is checking moisture content before the walls are closed up.
A home can look brand new and still have moisture-related concerns hiding beneath the surface. That’s why inspections matter.

The 70s gave us muscle cars, great music, and plenty of nostalgia. Unfortunately, they also gave us Orangeburg sewer pipe.
What looked like a good idea decades ago has become a costly surprise for many homeowners. Orangeburg pipe is prone to deformation, root intrusion, and failure as it ages. If you’re buying an older home, a sewer scope inspection can provide the clarity you need before making a major investment.
Helping you know and love your home better—because what’s underground matters too.
A sewer scope can be one of the most valuable inspections you invest in. I’ve seen homes with newer PVC sewer lines that looked great from the house all the way to the street—until we reached the city connection. That’s where roots had found their way in and were creating a major blockage risk.
The lesson? Don’t assume a newer sewer line means a problem-free sewer system. The connection point matters too.
