In.preparation for carving the Bellamy Eagle, below, I have begun cutting down the live edge slabs of Basswood.

7 years ago when my world changed, forever.

What I could not imagine, was that it was going to become So Much better.

Working to get the last piece of the baseboard puzzle completed; the threshold between the tiled floor and the tongue-and-grooved oak flooring in the dining room.
A new oak board needed a groove cut into the edge to accept the tongue of the closest flooring board.
Of all the possible solutions, I chose my 100+ year old Stanley #45 Combination plane.
