Today we, at New Dimensions in Health Care (NDHC), join in celebrating Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, when on June 19th, 1865 the Union Army informed slaves in Galveston, Texas of their emancipation. They were some of the last slaves to be freed, more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. NDHC joins in celebrating the spirit of the day and the richness of African American culture. ❤️💚💛
