🏰 ✨Happy 70th anniversary, Disney!
So, I have seen others share their Disney stories and how they grew up going. I unfortunately did not have that privilege but I do remember the first time I got to go! I was already 16 years old and I remember as a kid wanting to go but we lived further away and it just wasn’t part of the budget. So in highschool, my best friend Keika mentioned to her mom (who loves Disney) that I had never been. She was shocked! She wasted NO time planning a weekend we would all go. She paid for my ticket and booked us all a hotel. She even asked my mom if I could miss a Friday at school. My parents were fine with it (thankfully) and I got to go! I will never forget it. I felt like such a child in the best way possible and I felt nervous to get on the rides but my friend talked me into riding Space Mountain. I loved it. We also stayed at the Grand Californian so we got a Magic Morning at that time I think we got to enter at 7am. It’s such a core memory of mine. I’ll always be thankful. 🥹 💕 No I am in my 30s and still feeling like a child while happily walking down main, sipping my iced coffee. Hehe!

I celebrated May 4th way differently than I thought I would be. I was surprised by a friend with tickets to SWNite and then surprised myself by making a costume the day before. I hadn’t sewn a costume since I made Shin and that was over a year ago.
I really love being in the Star Wars community. I’m still more of a newer fan as I didn’t grow up in the fandom(I was more into LOTR/Zelda fantasy). So it’s just been really nice to get to know other fans as well as dress up from the movies. I’m happy it has helped bring the joy of costuming back into my life. I have fabric for the next costume so I’ll begin making it soon!

I saw so many people dressed up at SWnite but I tend to shy away from asking for photos or engaging in conversation. I think part of it is I feel like such a newb compared to many who have been in this community forever. Anyway, silly insecurities but I do like making friends. So if you see me staring, I probably just really like your costume but don’t have it in me to ask for a photo. 🫣
