Aftershock Working Dogs

Ashleigh Derrickson , Argos & Cameron James will be here in Anchorage hosting a 2 day Obedience & Protection workshop. Ashleigh began her working dog career at fifteen years old in the sport of IGP. She has completed at a National level in both IGP & PSA including French ring Lv1.

Argos currently holds IGP3 & PSA2 titles.

Cameron is a Senior PSA decoy and Regional Select decoy. He is a founding member and Training Director at Blue Ridge Working Dog Club. Which has placed multiple dogs on the podium in Club, Regional and National PSA events. Cameron is an established trainer that can breakdown complex behavioral situations and articulate them in a manor that handlers can absorb and benefit from, regardless where they are in their training journey.

Ashleigh has been blessed with opportunities to work and train with many extremely successful handlers and trainers including international level competitors who have all helped build her to where she is today.

She also has experience in training military dogs including Special Forces dogs, police dogs, and coaching law enforcement handler courses and certifications.

The obedience phase has always been somewhere where she feels a deep connection and understanding, and she admits that she typically seeks out another High Obedience trophy to add to her collection from various sports and many different trials.

Ashleigh enjoys dissecting the way dogs learn and process information and focuses on the mindset and emotions in which the dog preforms each individual behavior as well as in the overall picture and in their relationship with their handler.

Aftershock Working Dogs presents our Super Hero Face-off Bite Night!! Come out and participate in fun themed event dressed as your favorite super hero!

We are an official Protection Sports Association Club and our bite night is geared towards bite sports. We want to educate people about different sports, perform evaluations for dogs, and assist sport dog handlers.
