Three 7 Summits Club groups held training sessions on the slopes of Elbrus

Three independent 7 Summits Club groups climbed the slopes of Elbrus and held training sessions on snow, practicing techniques for moving on a snowy slope and self-arresting with an ice axe. Tomorrow, all groups will continue their altitude acclimatization with an ascent to Pastukhov Rocks.

Guides Dmitry Semenov, Georgy Bushuev and Sergey Onufrienko work with groups at this stage.

Today in Chamonix, Alex and Lucy trained in preparation for the expedition to the Carstensz Pyramid. We're planning another one in October. The via ferrata is almost identical to what you'll experience on the Carstensz Pyramid, even the famous suspension bridge over a kilometer-wide chasm.
