Streets to Success is a one-year residential program for thirty participants per year, based on a well-researched model of care called Therapeutic Community. Participants receive support and guidance from experts with lived experience - mentors who have overcome homelessness, substance abuse, and incarceration in their own lives.

To support positive outcomes in the lives of program participants, Bean's maintains important community partnerships with education specialists and ‘second chance employers’ who hire qualified applicants without regard to histories of felony convictions. And with us, people who care for our community.

Effectiveness of the Streets to Success program based on the personal successes of program participants. Criteria for their success include:

• Life skills development and educational attainment
• Employment
• Transition to permanent housing
• Freedom from substance abuse
• Lack of recidivism
• Self-sufficiency
• Community contributions

When compared to others who receive housing alone, people receiving comprehensive services in peer-led community settings demonstrate higher levels of resiliency and positive lifestyle changes.
