Finding Bethany
You don’t have to have a murdered sister to be a good homicide detective, but it helps.

The parole board announced that Allan Chase is not eligible for parole and he is not to apply for parole for at least 5 years, including a requirement for him to complete s*x offender treatment at Lemon Creek Correctional Facility.
The words "Thank you" are too small and too insufficient for me to properly express my gratitude to EVERYONE who wrote emails and letters to the parole board. THEY MADE A DIFFERENCE. YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE.
I saw the huge pile of letters in the parole board packets and it was clear from the questions of the board that they listened to your words.
I am humbled and so incredibly thankful.
sincerely,
Glen Klinkhart

Dawn’s Murderer Wants Out of Prison
Normally I don’t ask for much of my friends and of my community, however today I am asking for a minute or two of your time.
In 1981 Allan Chase Jr. s*xually assaulted and murdered my then 17-year-old sister, Dawn Klinkhart, as she slept in our Anchorage home. Chase beat her, r***d her, and then set her and our house on fire and left her to die.

Since his sentencing to 75 years in prison Mr. Chase has had only one parole hearing. It was at the 2007 hearing where an angry Allan Chase Jr. told members of the parole board, “If you let me out, I’d probably do it again.”
I have recently learned Allan Chase Jr. is once again asking the Alaskan Parole Board to be released from prison. I am asking you, my friends, my family, and my community, to please consider mailing or emailing any concerns you may have regarding the possibility of this man being released into our community. I will not tell you what to think, to feel, or what to write, but I do ask for you to consider letting your voices be heard.
You may write to the Parole Board care of:
The Department of Corrections
Attention: Probation Officer Marissa Lapinskas
3600 Bette Catto Drive
Seward, AK 99664
Or you can email your letter to:
[email protected]
Subject: Allan R. Chase Jr - Discretionary Parole Hearing
Your letters are needed by 8/11/2017 so they can be provided to all the members of the parole board.
Please feel free to share this with your friends, your family, and your community.
Thank you,
Glen Klinkhart
"Dear Finding Bethany,
Amazing. I couldn't put it down, even though I had to in order to sleep and go to work. From Dawn's story to Bethany's, you honored their memories. My favorite true crime writer was Ann Rule. I think you should write more, maybe true crime stories from Alaska. I would read all of them. Thank You for your service and dedication to finding Bethany and getting justice for her."
Thank you to everyone for making this First Friday such a success!!!
