LEARN AND EXPERIENCE EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT)
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Mental Health Services invites Akwesasró:non to join special guest Dr. Michael Demolina for a series of interactive sessions exploring Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as “tapping”.

Whether you’re looking to better manage stress, support your mental wellness, or learn practical techniques to help yourself or others, these sessions offer an opportunity to gain valuable tools.

📅 ️ When: July 13 & 14, 2026
📍 Where: Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort (Sunrise Room)
🕙 Time: 10 a.m. - 9 .m. (Various sessions available)

️SCHEDULE

🗓 Day 1 | Monday, July 13
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. — First Responders
1 p.m. - 3 p.m. — Helping Professionals (including nurses, physicians, social workers, counsellors, and other health and human services professionals)
4 p.m. - 6 p.m. — Caregivers
7 p.m. - 9 p.m. — Families

🗓 Day 2 | Tuesday, July 14
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. — Students
1 p.m. - 3 p.m. — Addictions (including smoking cessation, food addiction, opioid addiction, and more)
4 p.m. - 6 p.m. — Anxiety
7 p.m. - 9 p.m. — Self-Sabotage

Taking care of your mental health is an important part of overall wellness. We encourage community members to attend the session that best meets their needs and discover practical tools to support emotional wellbeing.

With more than 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist, Dr. Demonlina specializes in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and neuroscience.

🧠 What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as “tapping”, is a self-help technique that combines gentle tapping on a specific acupressure points with focused attention on thoughts and emotions. Many people use EFT to help manage stress, anxiety, emotional triggers, and other everyday challenges.
