We’re getting shady…

Multiple days over 100 degrees this week marking the hot season here in Redding and offering a unique set of challenges to local growers. Remember tho stay hydrated and find ways to cool off! #

Pleurotus citrinopileatus, the golden oyster mushroom, is a tropical mushroom species native to eastern Russia, northern China, and Japan. They have delicately beautiful cluster which have a rich umami flavor with hints of cashew when sautéed.

Farmers markets are back on! We are at the Redding Farmers Market every Saturday (behind Redding City Hall) from 7:30 - 12pm. We have lots of of great produce to offer this season! Hope to see you there 👋

Our Mushrooms made the cover!! If you’ve picked up a winter copy of magazine you might have recognized these King trumpet mushrooms 😉

Local illustrator Susan Meade did a phenomenal job capturing the fine details of these mushrooms. Drawing lions mane is essentially challenging but the drawings turned out wonderful!
