Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🤍

My husband + I celebrated 10 years this past July. It was a beautiful evening celebrating with sweet friends + family.

We had a vow renewal which is not my favorite phrase because we did not need to renew anything but more like celebrate them + celebrate all of the great mountains + valleys we have walked through in these 10 years.

Being in the wedding industry you learn a lot about yourself + your support system in big + small ways. You remember those feelings of excitement + newness that young love brings on the wedding day, the hard work of a team of professionals all giving over 100% to make your wedding day the one of your dreams, the sacrifice it takes in your personal life to ensure that your bride + groom has the best day ever, the sweet moments between parents + their child that is now entering into a new core family + so much more.

This beautiful, loving + adventurous industry has given me so much. It has brought me fellow professionals who inspire me + collaborate with me + encourage me + challenge me. It has given me brides who have allowed me to see them for who they are - wonderful, hard working, kind + intentional women. It has shown me what sacrifice + hard work + determination it takes to bring about all of the details into one wrapped present for that big, momentous day.

Most of all, this industry showed me yet another layer of what a gem of a man the Lord brought into my life 12 + years ago. I could not have done any of the past two years without Parker by my side. Cheering me on + taking care of the kids on the weekends and weekly meetings + encouraging me + bringing me snacks but more importantly, praying with me + loving me during each season of life. No season is ever the same + that could not be more true for my next season of .

In 2022 I will be taking a break of sorts. I do not know what the Lord has in store for STDE. I only know that for 2022 He has called me "home". This is the word He has laid on my heart for 2022. I do not know if this is permanent or only for a year or two years or 13 months.
