This is sweet Tongtong, who has transfusion dependent thalassemia. Tongtong's family live in a rural village, and have worked hard to be able to manage her medical care without outside support. Sadly, Tongtong has been recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a truly heartbreaking situation, which, on top of her thalassemia, seems way beyond her family's means. We would like to provide a grant to her family to help with the huge financial burden of both thalassemia and leukemia. We hope they will somehow understand that they are not alone in this battle.
