PBYFL Andrews Mustangs JV 2021

This past weekend your JV Andrews Mustangs punched their ticket to the Champioship game!!! They defeated the Big Spring Steers 33-7 and were in control of this game from the start. I can't stress how special this team is is and has been to watch. The MVP of this game, as selected by the refs, was Camo Aguilar.
This weekend the 2 best teams in their respected divisions will face each other for the Championship title in Midland at Grande Stadium this Saturday, time TBD.
We hope to see you all at the game wearing your Mustangs gear and colors, cheering on this AMAZING squad FULL of young talent.

So our AMAZING JV cheerleaders came out to our practice and surprised the football boys. They did a cheer for the boys AND brought them some good luck treats for this weeks playoff game. I have really really enjoyed how close our Cheer coaches, cheerleaders along with our football coaches and football boys, have worked this year. This year has been a very special year and we are hoping to end this season on an absolute HIGH.

So after a BYE last week, our Mighty Mustangs got to get back on the field and get back to work this weekend. We were matched up with Crane Coyotes again and the results were the same...a WIN for the Mustangs. With the win, we will advance to Round 3 against the Big Spring Steers, and the winner going to the Championship game. Our boys have been working hard ALL year for this and we are ready to go. The MVP of this game, as selected by the refs, was #0 Camo Aguilar for his efforts in the game.

This week we took care of business and beat the Pecos Eagles 25-6 and yes, we gave up our first touchdown of the season. I as a Coach am most proud of how these boys handled giving up that TD and staying in the game mentally to get back to taking absolute control of the game. This week the MVP of the game, as selected by the refs, was #0 Camo Aguilar.
Since we finished the season as the #1 seed, we get a bye the week for the first round if the playoffs which start for the rest of the division this week. We will get back to the lab and get ready for our 2nd season, the PKAYOFFS, as we have our sights on the Championship but we will also take these playoffs one game at a time, it is now win or go home time for these next few weeks.
