The Equine I.Q. Contest at Brazos Valley Fair on October 18 is great practice for the rodeo season contests and the top 5 Seniors get a scholarship!

Leila, a Texas 4-H Equine Ambassador and next year’s club VP, is at Advocacy Academy! Ambassadors can apply for this summer experience after their first year of service.

Leila also just finished a week in Costa Rica with the 4-H GLOBE program. We are so proud of her dedication to make the best better!

Cadence, a member of our club, horse quiz bowl, and horse judging team, embarked on her journey toward becoming a Texas 4-H Equine Ambassador today!

Congrats to all the new equine ambassadors! We now have two in our club and we can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes them!

We are so thankful to Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Navasota for letting us tour their facility today! We got up close and personal with the equine water treadmill, hyperbaric chamber, surgery room, ICU, and one of the only equine CT scan machines in the state of Texas.

It’s the end of foaling season so there were some fresh babies checking us out! The highlight was a sweet patient who had just received a temporary tracheotomy. We were able to feel his breath coming out of the trach in his neck!

Many thanks to Bonnie for showing us everything, Dr. Ricci for sharing her veterinary experiences, and all the staff who went out of their way to make our visit special. ❤️
