The Gathering Place Interfaith Ministries

April is National Volunteer Appreciation month and the Gathering Place received a proclamation from the City of Alvin recognizing our volunteers for their service in the areas of free respite, therapeutic activities, and education for Alvin caregivers and their loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. Thank you Mayor Gabe Adame and the Alvin City Council for this honor 🙏

We met with Precinct 4 Commissioner David Linder this afternoon to review our 2026-27 Community Development Block Grant application and our 2007-25 Gathering Place statistics. Thank you for your continued support Commissioner Linder!
