The Rooted Vegan

If you’ve been with us along our journey, it’s likely you’ve met Chloe - a former employee with a smile that lights the room, a can-do attitude, and quite possibly the kindest, most generous heart I’ve ever met. Unfortunately, life has a way of throwing punches at this sweet girl and she has suffered more heartbreak and pain than anyone should ever have to endure. One consistent ray of sunshine in her days has been her passion for helping others and her adventurous spirit. Through the Fuller Center program, Chloe is currently on her 2nd, month long bike rides, cycling hundreds of miles from Salt Lake City to Flagstaff in support of affordable housing and to help with home repairs along their route. On day 5 of this trip, my jaw about hit the ground when I saw that Chloe was in Price, Utah.

This place probably doesn’t ring a bell for many of you. It’s a small town at the base of the mountains with nothing much there…dirt, a hometown diner, and a dinosaur museum. BUT, this is the town that Craig grew up in! We couldn’t believe it! Out of all the places she could be, Chloe’s trip landed her smack dab in a place near and dear to his heart. We chatted a little and shared some pictures, living through her. Fast forward to today, and we were surprised with a handwritten postcard that she had asked Craig himself where to purchase 😂

Despite being knocked down far more times than one person deserves, this amazing girl is ALWAYS thinking of others. Always bringing a smile, a kind word or helping hands. Even though no one would blame her, she never stops 💚
