The IBEW is calling on all members to mobilize now and urge their U.S. Representative to vote YES on the Faster Labor Contracts Act (H.R. 5408) when the vote comes before the House next week.



When workers vote to form a union, they deserve the opportunity to secure the wages, benefits, and workplace protections they voted to achieve. Too often, employers delay first-contract negotiations for months or even years, preventing workers from realizing the benefits of union representation and weakening their right to collectively bargain.



The Faster Labor Contracts Act would establish a fair process and timeline for reaching a first collective bargaining agreement. By strengthening collective bargaining rights and preventing unnecessary delays, this legislation will help grow the labor movement, protect union jobs, and ensure workers have a meaningful voice in the workplace.
