From working in the House of Representatives as a staffer helping thousands of Michiganders to serving as a state representative, I am excited to be back. Today we convened the 103rd Legislature and continued on the road to moving Michigan forward. I’m excited to work for you throughout the coming days.

Friends, this morning is filled with mixed emotions. I am deeply humbled and honored to be elected as your state representative for Michigan’s 33rd House District. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you who placed your faith in our campaign, stood with us, and shared in our vision for our community. I am endlessly grateful for your support.

At the same time, I know many of us are feeling the weight of this moment. The loss of Vice President Kamala Harris in this election is not just a setback—it’s a reminder of how much work lies ahead to lift up voices that have too often gone unheard. But if this campaign has shown me anything, it’s that we are stronger together, and together we can continue to move forward with hope and determination.

To my family, friends, campaign team, volunteers, and every single voter who gave their time, energy, and trust to this journey—thank you. This victory belongs to all of you. I promise to represent you with dedication and integrity, to listen to your concerns, and to fight for a Michigan that works for everyone.

As we look ahead, let’s keep the spirit of service alive and keep pushing for the change we need. Thank you for this incredible honor. Let’s get to work.
